Animal Success Stories

Most of the dogs whom we rescue find new forever homes where they live happily ever after. These are our success stories, and we'd like to share them with you. For a variety of reasons, we can't add a photo and story about every dog whom we've ever rescued and placed with a new family, but many of their stories are here.

Shelby
Shelby

Shelby was an absolutely marvelous, sweet, bright girl who belonged to somebody who gave her to somebody else who gave her to somebody else who had released another Sheltie to us previously. (Poor Shelby...just being passed from home to home!) Her last owner realized that she was too busy and turned Shelby over to Sheltie Rescue of Utah. Shelby, a rich mahogony sable, was about 6 years old in early 2007, in excellent health (but needed to lose a little weight — who doesn't?). She was eager to bond with a forever family, had no problem with men or women, and she was very good with kids and other dogs. It didn't take long for that perfect, forever home for Shelby to appear. She is now being loved just the way a wonderful Sheltie girl should be. We've even had the pleasure of puppy-sitting Shelby here at "Camp Sheltie"!
