Tanner is well trained having been taken to training classes as a puppy. Changes in his family's lives became overwhelming and necessitated giving him up however it's obvious by his demeanor that he was very well loved. Tanner is a quiet boy except when left at home by himself. At that point he becomes distressed but seems to settle down after awhile. If there are items on coffee tables or table tops he will find his way to them if they're attractive to him. We have taken to crating him when we leave the house. Other than this, he's a beautifully behaved Sheltie-boy. Tanners adoption fee is $125.00.

More about Tanner

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Tanner does have some special needs. He is deaf. Whoever adopts him will have to be prepared to work with a dog without hearing. Tanner also has mild seizures. They are well under control with phenobarbitol...an inexpensive medication. We've seen one seizure which followed after his neuter/dental. This was not surprising because it was a stressful event. The seizure was a mild seizure. It was almost hard to tell that he was seizing except that he lost control of his muscles and was drooling.
