Daisy is a 6 year old, 3 legged, small sized Sheltie with a big personality!

About Daisy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: D090009
  • Location: 84093
Daisy is a little girl Sheltie of adult age, 6 years old, with lots of energy and love to share. Daisy lost one of her legs in what was presumed to be a car accident. Isn't it sad that nobody really knows what happened to cause her to lose a leg? But Daisy doesn't mind a bit and hops up and downstairs as though she still had that 4th leg. She's currently in a wonderful foster home with a Sheltie girlfriend named Zoe. The two get along very nicely. Daisy is an easy going little girl who just wants to be loved and cared for. Daisy's foster Mom has done a wonderful job with her. Daisy will do best in a home without a lot of stairs --- even though she can handle them today, like many seniors, later on in life they will be more of a challenge for her. Daisy is a bit overweight and should lose a bit. You can also imagine how important it would be to keep the weigh off of her over her life span in order not to stress the 3 legs she has left. Daisy will be a wonderful companion and addition to any household but we're looking for that very special home for Daisy where she'll be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. Daisy's adoption fee is $200.00. Keep in mind that our expectation is that we will be spending more than $500.00 in total, to make sure that she's a happy, healthy girl when she goes to her new home.

Special Needs: The fewer stairs in her future home the better it will be in the long run for Daisy.
