Eleven Year Old Loving Sheltie-Girl Missy Has Four Deformed Legs

Missy is an eleven year old special needs Sheltie. She was born with deformed legs. We'll try to have a video that shows how Missy's legs work when she moves. Missy is able to walk but her ability to walk is limited. Missy cannot go up or down any stairs at all. If you have stairs she'd need a ramp built before any adoption. Missy is the sweetest girl you'd ever want to meet and is very loving. She needs to lay on a very supportive bed because she doesn't move around a lot. Missy is on medication for arthritis. Given her age and deformed legs we assume that it's painful for her to move about and walk. She will need this kind of medical support, people who are willing to carry her outside as needed to go potty (and back inside), easy access and supportive beds, water and food near her and elevated to just the right height for her needs, for the rest of her life.

Missy was living a nice long life in Montana with her Mom when sadly, her Mom passed away. Family from Idaho came to settle things and brought Missy back home with them. Missy lived with them for several months but for reasons we don't know, things just didn't work out and Missy was brought to a shelter in Idaho, who contacted us here at Sheltie Rescue of Utah. Missy is very sweet and loving and needs a Mom and Dad who are also sweet and loving and who have the strength, patience, and boundless love to give Missy a wonderful last few years of her life. Special Needs: Missy has four deformed legs and needs a home where there are ZERO stairs for her to cope with or where a ramp can be installed. Even with this in place you will probably need to carry her at least some of the time.
