Jet is one of two Shelties that were brought to Utah from a breeder's auction in Missouri. Jet is the daughter of the second Sheltie who's name is Sienna. These two girls were used for breeding only. They apparently lived in something really small --- like a rabbit hutch and were on some sort of very hard surface. We're guessing at this with our vet because of sores that Jet and Sienna had on their legs that are now healing. Jet is still fearful of us to some extent but she's learning slowly to trust us. She's very excited and joyful at breakfast which she now understands comes regularly, as does her dinner. She gobbles down her meals with great gusto! Her coat is already showing signs of improving which is surprisingly fast.

Jet and Sienna were so traumatized by the long transport across states that our vet wanted us to give them a chance to adjust to their new life before going ahead with a major surgery like a spay. This is why Jet is not yet spayed.

Sienna has been more open to our efforts to cuddle and be affectionate with her. She almost comes when called! Sienna's teeth were pretty much being held in place by a horrible layer of tarter when she arrived in Utah. At our first exam, my vet cleared her surgery time to squeeze in what she deemed to be an emergency dental. Sienna still has some teeth left but not many.

The adoption fee for Jet is $75.00 but of course Jet is going to need a very special, forever home.
