About Sara

  • Housetrained: Yes
Sara is an 18 month old Sheltie...possibly a Sheltie mix. It's hard to say. Her personality appears to be mostly Sheltie. She is a SWEETHEART but is shy. She has a short coat in mahogany, sable, and white colors. Despite being shy and somewhat fearful she hasn't an aggressive cell in her body. Sara is the kind of Sheltie-girl who needs a fairly quiet, stable home environment where she can learn that the world is not a scary place. Apparently she has already done quite a bit of that kind of learning...she used to be much more shy and frightened than she is now. This is an excellent sign that she's able to grow and mature into a more confident Sheltie with the right kind of support. That would include going to training classes. Sara would probably blossom beautifully in basic obedience and possibly even agility too...with patience. Her first efforts at going through a tunnel might pose some challenges...but this is a loving Sheltie who wants to please her Mom (especially). She's more confident of human females than she is of human males. We'd even expect this preference for females to even out over time with love, training, and patience. Sara's adoption fee is $200.00.
